As you embrace the gift of God this Christmas season, may you experience His peace, love and joy. Be aware of God's angels surrounding you as they speak and perform blessings over your life. Enjoy and share the blog below I posted last Christmas season. Renew your thoughts as this blog continues to have meaning today. Merry Christmas!
God’s greatest gift to us this Christmas season is His SON. Isaiah 9:6 says, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” What gifts of love can you give this Christmas? One of God’s greatest gifts he has given us is a roof over our heads.
The HOME is a very important place to everyone during the Christmas season, especially to God. It’s exciting to know how much God’s word says about the home. “For by him all things were created.” (Colossians 1:16) Throughout scripture, God is referred to our spiritual refuge. We are told to run to Him for safety, security, rest, replenishment, comfort and never ending love. In the same way, I believe God created our homes to be our physical refuge. He knew we would need a corner of the world to call our own. We go to our homes in hopes of finding physically many of the same qualities God offers spiritually, a restful place, safe from the storms and stresses of the world, filled with love, comfort and absolute acceptance.
Why not use this holiday season, as a special place where God’s presence and atmosphere permeates your home. God has made us sensual beings, and we can use our five senses to make our homes a powerful witness to God’s grace, love and compassion. God has given us eyes to see, ears to hear, noses to smell, mouths to taste and talk, and bodies to feel. Each sense is a rich blessing. However, in the home we rarely encounter one sense at a time, but they are intricately connected to help us experience the many dimensions of life. Are you awakening these senses in your home this Christmas season?
Using the five senses God has given us, the following are some suggestions for creating a God centered home this Christmas season.
