SPEAKING BLESSINGS OVER YOUR HOME

Do you speak spiritual blessings over your home?

Your spoken words can have a positive or negative impact on how you view yourself and home. We often say negative thoughts about our home; “it’s too small, it’s old, or “I am tired of this house, etc.”

God has graciously blessed you with a space called home. Are you taking time to decree and declare God’s blessings and provision over your home? The words you speak about your home should be the direction you want your home to go. For example, if you are tired of your home’s heating and cooling challenges, why not speak, “Lord, I thank you for providing me a home where the temperature is comfortable regardless of the weather outside.”

Spoken blessings can bring hope, encouragement and direction about how to make your home a sanctuary. According to the “Institute in Basic Life Principles,” a spoken blessing is a “positive biblical statement that invokes blessings from God, who Himself “hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places.” (Ephesians 1:3 KJV).

You must decree and declare your home is BLESSED!

You and God know the issues and challenges impacting your home. Discern what blessings to speak over your home. For example, if your home is troubled by poor family relationships speak blessings of peace, joy and love.

As the Holy Spirit directs you, consider speaking the following spiritual blessings over your home:

PEACE - Psalm 122:7

Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.

JOY - Romans 15:13

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

SUCCESS - Psalm 20:4

Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfill all thy counsel.

COMFORT - Psalm 119:76

Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant.

GRACE - 2 Corinthians 13:14

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen

FAVOR- Psalm 90:17

And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

KINDNESS - 2 Samuel 2:6

And now the Lord shew kindness and truth unto you: and I also will

requite you this kindness, because ye have done this thing.

PROTECTION - Psalm 40:11

Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Lord: let thy

loving kindness and thy truth continually preserve me.

LOVE -Psalm 33:22

Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

You must decree and declare that your house is blessed! You must believe that the favor of God is turning your household situation around. Are there any mountains preventing you from making your home a pleasing place of ministry (i.e., procrastination, clutter, lack of inner peace, low self-confidence, financial challenges, etc.)? If so, take control of your home and command all mountains be removed.

Today, begin speaking blessings over your home.
